By any measure 2020 has been a trying experience that has tested America’s resilience in a way unparalleled in my lifetime. COVID-19, a tumultuous political landscape, and social unrest have made many feel isolated and alone. Changes of routine and LOTS of time at home have been hard on many missing their normal social support structure be it at work, school or church.
Right now, people are more isolated than normal, which adds another layer of complexity for those struggling with anxiety and depression. Social frameworks that usually exist to provide a supportive presence are greatly impacted, and COVID-19 related life changes and stresses are compounding, likely leading to or furthering mental health issues.
I hope this information is helpful to those in need. Seeking out mental health support and resources is a sign of strength! If you feel you can benefit from talking to someone, please check out the link above, there is really nothing to loose. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.
